<p>Lines was created following the classic example of starting with nothing and building everything brick by brick from the ground up. And when you have a good foundation, all subsequent developments go like clockwork. I remember the name was a big challenge. We went through many options. It was important to maintain the original ideas and flexibility while still allowing the brand room for international expansion. Lilulines is the perfect solution to this problem. I vividly remember the moment when the identity concept struck a chord. Vlad showed us a kaleidoscope of girls and how they formed the logo. And at that moment, everything just clicked. Everything fell into place.</p>

<p>Let me put it this way: this is precisely the kind of project that vividly captures the essence of &#8220;branding partners.&#8221; The co-founders came to us with the idea of ​​creating a clothing and accessories brand for rhythmic gymnasts. They were still developing the product, shaping the product range, and it was crucial for them to capture the metaphor of lines that speak of the journey, the overcoming, and the aspirations of athletes. After all, it&#8217;s also a process of development and achieving new results.</p>

<p>And then they truly trusted us. Not just in words. And together, in our search for insights, true essence, forms, and ideas, we achieved a point where girls in the European market now have the opportunity to adorn themselves with stylish, high-quality items and feel special. And deep down, they can be confident that no matter what new challenge or obstacle they face, they are not alone, they have inner support, and Lilulines is always ready to highlight and support this, no matter how good or bad the day or time.</p>

<p>We were tasked with creating a logo and brand identity for a brand of rhythmic gymnastics apparel and accessories that would simultaneously convey the sport&#8217;s tenderness, discipline, precision, and strength. We wanted to capture the subtle balance where graceful movement meets rigorous athletic structure.</p>
<p></p>

<p>After extensive research and testing, we decided to combine smooth, hand-drawn lines, symbolizing softness, flexibility, and vibrant movement, with geometric sans serifs, which added form, stability, and character. This combination allowed us to achieve the desired balance. In developing the identity, we wanted to convey not only the aesthetics of sport but also the emotional side, the support, unity, and friendship between athletes.</p>

<p>Even though rhythmic gymnastics is considered an individual sport, the girls remain a team, supporting each other. This is how we came up with the idea of ​​a kaleidoscope. It&#8217;s based on one main element, which, reflected and combined with other similar elements, forms new patterns. This is a metaphor for the uniqueness and originality of each gymnast, which, when combined with others, creates a complete, harmonious picture. This is how we created an identity that reflects the dynamism, femininity, and inner strength of the gymnasts, as well as their unity, mutual support, and beauty of movement.</p>

<p>The client came looking for a brand strategy and identity. The primary request was for a striking brand that would easily differentiate itself from competitors in a crowded market. A general concept emerged immediately after the brief, but over two weeks of internal team discussions, it was strengthened with unique elements and a vibrant palette. The result was a well-balanced, vibrant, young brand that didn&#8217;t feel childish. I enjoyed working both within the team, where everyone reinforced each other&#8217;s ideas, and interacting with the client, who completely trusted us and quickly embraced our process.</p>

We decided to tell its story from the first person — through the eyes of those who created the brand step by step.<br /></p>

<p>&#8220;The moment of insight is key. Once you&#8217;ve caught it, the key is to hold on and find a working visual solution. For me, it&#8217;s always a struggle between options, where my decision will determine how the project will be developed in a business-like manner and how much internal rejection there will be within the team. This is the kind of project where I&#8217;m delighted, happy, and especially grateful to the &#8220;client&#8221; because they didn&#8217;t accept the first version. It was a good one, by the way. But after that rejection, I was able to delve deeper and find something that won&#8217;t be outdated for many, many years to come&#8221;.</p>

<p>&#8220;The way the project looked during its turbulent inception is completely different from what you see in the final product today. All the internal processes — briefing, sketching, discussion, color scheme — were reborn several times, not only in my hands but also in the hands of the designers. Colors and shapes changed, new forms emerged, all complemented by the design, which also had its own distinct approaches. The collaboration between the illustrator and a huge team of marketers, designers, strategists, and others involved in the brand book, including the client — was like working on a giant layer cake, where everyone contributes to the filling, and in the end, you see new elements, even in your own work&#8221;.</p>

<p>The Burger House branding is based on a simple yet brilliant idea: the box as the burger&#8217;s home. And this form became the foundation of all communication. Throughout the project, we discovered that the box is so dynamic and flexible that it can be worked with like play dough: no matter how much you experiment, you never run out of ideas. The core form has become a recognizable and understandable tool that keeps the brand on its toes and prevents boredom.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Burger House&#8217;s colors — mustard and barbecue — have a retro flair, evoking appetite and that nostalgia for an unforgettable taste. It&#8217;s a palette that feels familiar, yet presented freshly and confidently. It combines warmth, flavor, and the brand&#8217;s signature character. Burger House was a project where we could really let loose: emotive characters, vibrant graphics, and wordplay. And all within just three colors. It&#8217;s a case of maximizing expressiveness with minimal resources.</p>

<p>The animation, from concept to final render, took four working days. These same four days were the deadline for submitting the festival application. We usually work with Molok in our usual format: &#8220;Rita, we need to make it look good, we trust you.&#8221; I really like this degree of freedom — it allows me to experiment and adapt the process to the tight deadline. I received a Figma presentation with a proposed sequence of shots and mockups. My task was to build a narrative logic so that the idea of ​​the &#8220;burger house&#8221; identity was easily understood. The illustrations and characters weren&#8217;t initially designed for animation. Grafdiz drew vector illustrations for me as we went along, but time was short, so I only selectively layered the styleframes, often animating them using masks, to meet the submission deadline. I remember my right hand was already starting to hurt from the mouse — I was afraid I might break down and have to finish the animation with my left one 🙂 In the end, we picked the music and added some sounds — the video came together into a cohesive, living story.</p>

<p>The ceremony itself lasts about an hour and a half. Very calm. No show, no interludes. Everything is divided into blocks. This year there were three large blocks presented. Before each block’s awards, there is a short dialogue, a couple of jokes, and then straight to business: awarding and showcasing the winners’ cases.</p>

<p>The jury gives comments on many works, explaining in very simple words why a project deserves, for example, the Grand Prix. Otherwise, the focus is entirely on the winners. Each one gets a video and photo on stage, so they have a memory and can share their victory in their own media.</p>

<p>After the ceremony comes the afterparty in a club, where you can flip through the fresh two-volume book featuring the winners’ works. During the first hour it gets maximum attention, and then it’s all about networking, celebrating the victory, and light entertainment. Not much of that: a photo booth, cocktails, and a slideshow of fresh photos. The emphasis is on communication, discussing the works, meeting new people, and small talk.</p>

<p>On the second day, the Museum of Communication and Design opens an exhibition where you can see the actual winning works and once again browse the catalog. At the exhibition it becomes clearer why certain projects received high awards. Mockups, especially for printed products, don’t fully convey the idea and execution. Before the exhibition opening, several winning cases especially highlighted by the jury are presented, followed again by networking.</p>

<p>This year marks our third Red Dot. The previous two we received for the branding project of the <a href="https://mlk.global/portfolio/miorski-krai/">Miory District</a> and for the identity of the <a href="https://mlk.global/portfolio/dinamo/">Dynamo football club</a>. This time it was for the branding of <a href="https://mlk.global/portfolio/burger-house-rebranding/">Burger House</a>. All of the works are distinguished by systematic design. The entire identity is built on clear, simple rules based on the core idea.</p>

<p><strong>Why is Red Dot such a special award?</strong></p>

<p>It is one of the oldest awards in the field of brand communication and design. It’s like the Oscars, but in this sphere. More than 7,000 works take part in the competition. Winning this award means recognition by an international jury of experts for the high quality of design and creativity.</p>

<p>The winners of the <a href="https://www.red-dot.org/bcd">2025 Red Dot Brand&amp;Communication Award </a>have been announced. Among the many entries from companies, agencies, and studios around the world, the jury found the work of the Belarusian agency Moloko to be outstanding and worthy of one of the Red Dot awards.</p>

<p>In 2025, Moloko received an award for its <strong>identity and communication</strong> for <strong>Burger House</strong>. It is noteworthy that eight years ago, the agency launched Burger House and created its first corporate identity. Like any company, it needs to be updated over time. Burger House was no exception.</p>

<p></p>
<p>The new identity is based on the <em>real burger house</em>. And it&#8217;s not Burger King, but its box. Now, Burger House&#8217;s identity tells you what happens in the burger house, what emotions you get from the food, and what you can do in the restaurant itself.</p>

We have created a unique and simple identification system for the company, in which there was a place for personalization and it adapts as easily as possible to any needs of the company.</p>

The logo is based on real facts and may even change depending on changes in the data on the number of sunny days (once a year). And ray lines provide an excellent opportunity for any visualization.</p>
